All three top rated Nursing Care Home groups are NAPA Corporate Members along with seven of the Top Fifteen care home groups.

The latest report from CQC details the best rated nursing care home providers for older people including dementia care. Sunrise Senior Living, Gracewell Healthcare and MHA were listed first, second and third and are all long standing NAPA members who work closely with us to develop their activity provision.

Alongside these results sits a recently published report ”Finding a way through the broken care system” compiled by Which. This carries some research that they have done into CQC inspections in England. Looking at care groups that have more than 12 registered homes and cater only for older people they have listed the Best and Worst 15.

Of the 15 Best Care Home groups seven have every single home signed up as a member attracting all of the benefits that brings. Amongst the remaining eight at least three have some homes that belong to NAPA but they have joined independently and not through an arrangement with their own head office.

Sylvie Silver, Executive Director of NAPA said

“I am delighted but not surprised by these results. When care home groups at Head Office level make a commitment to join us it sends out a very strong message about how much value they place on activity provision. CQC have recognised that quality of life should be given as much attention as quality of care and so have these care groups.”
