NEW NAPA Resource – Getting Creative with tech
09/12/2020

We are delighted to announce that Anna Park is joining The NAPA panel of expert volunteers. Anna will take on the role of NAPA Special Adviser – Technology in Care & Learning Disability.

Anna says:

‘I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to take on the role of a NAPA Special Adviser.  Over the last thirty years I have seen enormous changes in the role  technology can play in providing choice, connection & meaningful experiences for older people, people living with dementia & adults with learning disabilities. I’m hugely passionate about giving people the resources to find their voice so they can experience a sense of hope, agency and self-worth. Pioneering the use of interactive and sensory technologies since 1995 incl: symbol communication programmes, musical light beams & OMi’s interactive projection technology; I’ve seen first hand how transformative a resource can be when it’s used to enable the individual to participate, make choices and be creative, ultimately enhancing their quality of life. It’s all about human connection, just as ‘Twitter‘ provides a community for many people who would otherwise be isolated in their own homes. I am really looking forward to contributing to the valuable work NAPA do to support their growing membership with inclusive information & innovative resources that inspire & encourage creativity & engagement for all.’

Hilary says:

‘I am delighted to welcome Anna to our panel of expert volunteers. I really appreciate her commitment to NAPA’s work and I’m excited about how her contribution will help NAPA to enhance the services we provide.’
