We are delighted to announce that Natalie Ravenscroft is joining The NAPA panel of expert volunteers. Natalie will take on the role of NAPA Ambassador

Natalie says:
“Coming from a family of care workers, I realised early in my caring career that I wanted to work with older people and promote meaningful occupation and community engagement.  I started out as an Activity Co-ordinator in Rhyl, North Wales, where I spent four happy years. I then became a Regional Activity Coordinator for a national care provider and gained more knowledge and experience. My current role is Experience Co-ordinator for Belong, a not-for-profit dementia specialist and I have been with the company for three years now. Belong has supported me to bring my ideas to fruition and deliver a number of innovative projects, many of them leading the way in wellbeing for people living in care.

I was overwhelmed at receiving the invitation from NAPA to become an ambassador.  I have always turned to NAPA when seeking advice and guidance in my role and they have regularly been my go-to support. Most recently, I gained the NAPA Level 3 qualification and was incredibly honoured to receive the “Activity Personality of the Year Award” for 2020. I would like to thank NAPA for this opportunity and encourage anyone thinking or starting out as a co-ordinator to remember that opportunities are available and keep doing what you’re doing. You’re never “just” a co-ordinator!”

Hilary says
“Natalie is an experienced and well regarded Activity Professional whose can-do approach inspires others. We are delighted to welcome her to the NAPA Panel of volunteer Activity Ambassadors. Natalie’s appointment acknowledges her fantastic contribution to improving the profile of activity provision.”
