We are delighted to announce that Susanne Syme has joined NAPA’s panel of expert

volunteers as our Special Adviser for Physical Activity.

Hilary Woodhead – NAPA’s Executive Director said:
‘We are delighted that Susanne is joining our panel of expert volunteers. Susanne is a very experienced Physiotherapist, Yoga and Mindfulness practitioner, with a special interest in older adults.  She has run her own Rehabilitation business for 18 years, with an emphasis on falls prevention, dementia, frailty, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, evidence-based practice and individual’s lived experiences. We are delighted to have such a passionate and knowledgeable advocate for physical activity to advise and support us during the NAPA Year of Moving and Grooving.”Susanne says:
“I am excited to be joining NAPA during your year of Moving and Grooving and share your sense of urgency as we try and improve our Physical Activity provision as we emerge from the covid pandemic.  As individuals get older they often need to reengage and reinvent how they want to continue to be physically active following set backs and our role is to work out how best to help them.  Working with activity staff in care and NAPA during this pandemic has highlighted to me the skills we can share, irrespective of our professional titles, to make sure plans are individualised and meaningful.”
